How to forward Freedom Mobile calls to an AI receptionist

Freedom Mobile officially documents 4 forwarding modes you can set from the dialer in about 2 minutes: *21* plus a 10-digit number for every call, *61* for no answer, *67* for busy and *62* for unreachable. Setup, testing and the off switches below.

An active Freedom Mobile line

All four code pairs below come straight from Freedom Mobile's call forwarding page, so no guesswork is involved.

A number to forward to

Your AskSiya dashboard shows the dedicated local number Siya answers. The 7-day free trial creates one in minutes, no credit card needed.

Your phone's dialer

Forwarding codes are dialed like a normal call. Prefer menus? Freedom also supports the call forwarding settings built into iPhone and Android.

Setup

Forward every call in 4 steps

  1. Get your forwarding number. Sign up at platform.asksiya.com (7-day free trial, no card) and copy the 10-digit Siya number from your dashboard.
  2. Dial the activation code. In the phone app, dial *21*, then the 10-digit Siya number, then #, and press the call button. Example: *21*6475550123#.
  3. Wait for confirmation. Your phone shows a "call forwarding activated" style confirmation within a few seconds, then you can hang up.
  4. Make a test call. Ring your business number from a different phone. Siya should answer within about one ring, and the call appears on your AskSiya dashboard with a full transcript.

Conditional forwarding: only when busy or unanswered

Forwarding every call is rarely what a restaurant or front desk wants. The better setup: staff answer when they are free, and Siya catches the rush, the second ring and the after-hours calls. Freedom Mobile documents a code for each condition:

  • When busy: dial *67*, the 10-digit Siya number, then #. Turn off with #67#.
  • When there is no reply: dial *61*, the 10-digit Siya number, then #. Turn off with #61#.
  • When unreachable (phone off or no signal): dial *62*, the 10-digit Siya number, then #. Turn off with #62#.

Set all three and callers only reach Siya when nobody picked up - and because she answers in about one ring, she gets there before Freedom voicemail does. Missed callers meet a receptionist who takes the order or booking instead of a beep that loses it.

Test it, and turn it off any time

Test all-call forwarding by calling your business number from another phone: Siya should answer in about one ring. Test conditional forwarding two ways: call while your line is on another call (busy path), then call and let it ring out (no-reply path). Each test appears on your dashboard with a transcript, so you can confirm exactly what callers hear.

To turn it off: dial #21# to cancel all-call forwarding, and #67#, #61# and #62# for each conditional rule - the same pairs Freedom lists on its support page. Calls then ring your phone exactly as before.

Why bother

Why forward to an AI receptionist

Freedom forwards the call; Siya answers it. She picks up 24/7 in about one ring, takes restaurant orders and hotel bookings straight onto your dashboard, speaks 100+ languages, and starts at $19/mo for 60 minutes with a 7-day free trial, no card required. Plans auto-upgrade as your call volume grows, so callers never hit a busy signal. Put a number on the problem first with the free missed call revenue calculator.

Yes. Freedom Mobile's support site lists all four pairs - *21*/#21# for all calls, *61*/#61# for no reply, *67*/#67# for busy and *62*/#62# for unreachable - so there is no guesswork on this carrier.

Yes. Conditional forwarding hands the call over before voicemail engages, and Siya picks up in about one ring, so missed callers meet a receptionist who takes their order or booking instead of a beep.

Yes - Freedom supports the call forwarding menus built into iPhone (Settings, Phone, Call Forwarding) and Android (Phone app, Settings, Calls, Call forwarding). The dial codes and the menus control the same underlying network rules.

Call forwarding is included with most current Freedom Mobile plans, though forwarded calls may consume plan minutes depending on your plan's terms. Double-check before routing your whole line around the clock.
